WWE shocked the world when Vince McMahon returned after his retirement to usher the company into sales talks. They went with a merger with the UFC instead, under Endeavor’s umbrella. Since then, Triple H took power of the company’s creative reins, and business has been booming.
While speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Triple H commented on the merger. He is very excited about the possibilities at this point, and it appears that the future is quite bright for the new partnership. Everyone involved has made a substantial amount of money so far, especially Vince McMahon, who sold over 8 million shares. Triple H is in the thick of it, and he continues to benefit from WWE’s success.
Triple H also stated that he believes that Endeavor was the right fit for WWE as well. They proved that through their work with the UFC.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am. Working with Endeavor, it’s next level. The flywheel for all the things they touch–if you were trying to build that on your own, it’s taking you a decade. For us, now, it fast tracks everything we’re doing.
“Endeavor, UFC, they’re the best in the business at what they do. They put things on a different level of professionalism, and we fit right into that. The future is so bright because of the opportunities Endeavor is going to provide for us and the synergies that are there. We’re going to take this to a whole new level.”
We will have to see what is to come for WWE, and everyone involved with the company. More cuts are expected, as TKO Group Holdings revealed during their 3rd quarter 2023 investors call. The company is also open to even more sponsorship deals, as more money is going to undoubtably pour in with every advertisement they sell.
We will keep our eye on this story, and everything else in the entire pro wrestling world, right here at Ringside News. This could be a busy end of 2023 as 2024 is right around the corner.
