CM Punk’s reputation precedes himself as he has managed to become one of the most controversial stars in the history of professional wrestling. He got fired by AEW and fans are now speculating where he would go next. Amid rumors of his WWE return, Grayson Waller seemingly dropped a CM Punk reference yet again.
The Second City Saint is still a major topic of discussion as the world of professional wrestling could still welcome him back. In the meantime, Punk continues to stir the pot and add to speculation very often.
For the past couple of months, WWE has made quite a few references to CM Punk on their programming. USA Network dropping blatant references further added to the speculation as well.
Grayson Waller took to his Instagram and uploaded a post about himself, with a photo of Waller on commentary. What’s interesting is that his caption included a part of CM Punk’s iconic pipebomb promo.
”Even on commentary, nobody can touch me,”
This isn’t the first time Grayson Waller made a reference to CM Punk. Corey Graves is also willing to shake CM Punk’s hands if Punk returns to WWE. CM Punk has privately told people that he is not in talks with WWE. That won’t stop reports and rumors from making rounds online. We’ll have to see whether Punk will end up returning to WWE in the end.
