After WWE and UFC finished their merger, fans feared the worst as they expected numerous cuts from WWE. That already happened as they fired over 100 staff from their headquarters. They would then start releasing several Superstars from both the main roster and NXT. Now a former NXT star made their indie debut after getting released.

We previously reported that Mustafa Ali said he is no longer working with WWE. It was then revealed that Emma was released as well. Riddick Moss later joined his fiancé in free agency. That’s not all as the likes of AliyahShelton Benjamin and even Elias followed suit in a matter of minutes.

As for the NXT side of things, the likes of Ikemen Jiro was also released from his contract. Other talent such as Sarah Baer was also released from her contract.

Sarah Baer would make her indie debut at IWR Fall Brawl in Monroe, Michigan on November 9, where she squared off against another former NXT star – Gina Marie.

Sarah Baer had 4 matches on NXT live events and was part of Grayson Waller’s special entrance at NXT Vengeance Day. We will have to wait and see if she will find success in the independent circuit.
