WWE is a very unpredictable show, especially when they are in the middle of a live broadcast. Things didn’t work out for Ricochet this week on RAW, and now we have an update on his situation.

Ringside News provided comprehensive coverage of WWE RAW, and everything else going on in the pro wrestling world tonight. That being said, Ricochet suffered a scary spot that turned into a botched finish.

During this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Ricochet experienced a significant incident that occurred during the fatal four-way match. Despite the setback, the match continued as planned. However, it became evident that there might have been some issues with executing the intended sequence.

The conclusion of the match was marked by a double pinfall scenario. The Miz managed to pin Bronson Reed, while Ivar simultaneously pinned Ricochet. In the aftermath, Ricochet exhibited resilience by kicking out, but unfortunately, Bronson Reed did not do the same. Consequently, The Miz emerged as the sole victor of the match. The sequence of events left viewers bewildered, as it appeared that the outcome did not align with the originally intended script, raising questions about the match’s execution.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed this situation, and he also revealed that Ricochet hasn’t been diagnosed with a concussion yet, but he is under concussion protocol.

“We don’t [know if it’s a concussion] –it’s concussion protocol. I don’t wanna say it’s a concussion, because it was not, as far as I know it was not diagnosed as a concussion, and he’s fine.”

It was also noted that Ricochet, “doesn’t remember a lot of the match.” That being said, he doesn’t officially have a concussion, but WWE isn’t going to let this slide without keeping an eye on things.

Many fans had doubts about whether this was indeed the intended finish or if Ricochet was meant to stay down for a genuine double three count, allowing both Miz and Ivar to secure pins simultaneously. This was a botched match finish that was supposed to see a double pinfall, and Ricochet wasn’t supposed to kick out.

Hopefully, Ricochet is able to get back in the ring without any issues. Concussions can be scary, so WWE wants to take every step possible to make sure they are covering all of their bases, even if it’s not been officially diagnosed as a concussion at this time.
