WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has made his mark in the wrestling world once again, this time by signing with AEW. Tony Khan, the mastermind behind AEW, introduced Flair as a ‘special gift’ to wrestling icon Sting during the October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite. But that wasn’t all – it was revealed that Flair had inked a two-year deal with AEW.
In a twist that added some extra flair to this deal (pun intended), it was also disclosed that Wooooo! Energy would become the exclusive energy drink of AEW.
But wait, there’s more! Ric Flair isn’t just gracing the AEW television screens; he’s also set to appear at an AEW Together event.
Flair took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying, “I’m Excited To Announce That I Will Be Attending @AEWTogether’s All Elite Dunk & Shoot NEXT Thursday Night, November 16th In Inglewood, CA To Benefit @BCrusade! WOOOOO!”
The Brotherhood Crusade, a non-profit organization founded in 1968, aims to provide essential resources, program services, and advocacy for underserved communities.
AEW Together, as described on its official homepage, is on a mission to create lasting, positive change in the communities it serves. Since its inception, AEW Together has organized numerous events, with the initiative officially adopting the name in February 2023.
Ric Flair has recently shed light on why he made the leap from WWE to AEW, citing WWE’s “really confining” contracts as one of the factors that influenced his decision. With his signature “WOOOOO!” and larger-than-life presence, Ric Flair continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of professional wrestling.
