Idea of LA Knight’s Backstage Heat In WWE May Have Stemmed From Merchandise Sales

LA Knight is getting a lot of attention, and his merchandise is selling very well. He topped WWE’s sales charts in October, and it appears that his fast-selling t-shirts may be the reason a report about his backstage heat surfaced.

Booker T recently spoke on LA Knight a bit, as he revealed that the former Eli Drake has a bit of a bad attitude backstage. It was noted that he has a bit of heat on him right now.

Ringside News exclusively reported in July that we reached out to confirm this story about LA Knight. We were told by a tenured member of the creative team that, “he doesn’t understand the WWE locker room yet. He’ll get straightened out.”

Sean Sapp noted on his Backstage Report podcast behind Fightful’s paywall that he asked about the reports of LA Knight’s backstage heat. Sapp noted that the only thing he heard back concerned his merchandise sales.

“I was asked what was up with [heat on LA Knight]. I was told it was about some disagreement about how much merch was brought to some of the overseas shows, because not a lot was brought over. I was told that was it, and that’s what led to that particular story.”

It was also noted that when Sean Sapp reported on LA Knight’s strong merchandise sales, one WWE talent reportedly asked him, “did he leak that to you?” It was then denied that LA Knight leaked that news.

It was also reported by BWE that “everybody loves” LA Knight in WWE. We will have to see if more stories about his supposed backstage heat surface, but LA Knight is still going strong with a lot of momentum.
