WWE Never Told Corey Graves About Plans For Memorable RAW Storyline

WWE has featured several incredibly interesting stories over the decades. Many fans have been left guessing about what was going to happen next, only to be totally swerved in the process. Kurt Angle’s time in WWE saw him fill several roles, including father.

In 2017, Kurt Angle and Corey Graves were involved in a storyline while the Olympic Hero was General Manager of RAW. Graves had a secret, and he told Angle that he was going to tell the world. That led Angle to make the revelation on his own.

The Kurt Angle Show recently had Corey Graves on the show as a guest. This caused them to dive into a bit of their history. The old storyline with that top secret came up, and the Savior of Misbehavior had to admit that WWE never told him what that big secret’s payoff was.

“Kurt, if you handed me a million dollar right now, I wouldn’t be able to tell you what the hell the information ever was. They never told me. I don’t know what the payoff was ever going to be. I remember asking at the time, because it felt really random, and they said … Jason Jordan and I got hired at the same time. I took my medical exams in Pittsburgh, that’s when I met him, we were at UPMC for our pre-WWE medical screens and we’ve been fast friends ever since. I think that was sort of the reasoning behind it. I just remember being like, I don’t know what this means, I don’t know where it’s going, but I get to work with my friend and Kurt Angle, this is going to be awesome, I don’t care, but I have no idea what the plan was. No clue.”

It was later revealed that Jason Jordan was Kurt Angle’s long-lost son. They made the most of that surprise angle, but Corey Graves was still never smartened up about what his big secret was.

Kurt Angle’s storyline with Jason Jordan as a father and son duo didn’t see fruition, because Jordan suffered a neck injury and he hasn’t wrestled again to this day. He is still with WWE, as a producer backstage, and it seems that he excels in that role. Kurt Angle is also doing his own thing after that WWE run, but it makes us have to wonder what could have been.
