WWE is unpredictable in the sense that anyone could become a huge star due to an injury, which is what could be happening for Ivar of The Viking Raiders. In fact, he could be getting his first-ever singles title match soon.
Tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW will feature a four-way match to determine the next challenger for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship. The participants are Ricochet, The Miz, Bronson Reed and Ivar.
Besides Ivar, everyone has held singles championship gold. Should Ivar end up winning the fatal four-way match on RAW this week, it will mark the first singles championship match of his WWE career.
Ivar’s Viking Raiders partner Erik is currently out of action due to injury, due to which WWE has been focusing on Ivar as a singles star, especially because WWE has been impressed with Ivar’s singles matches as of late. His bout against Kofi Kingston a while ago certainly comes to mind.
Ivar has also never squared off against Gunther before, which makes him the ideal challenger for Gunther. That said, The Miz vs Gunther is also likely as WWE has been setting him up for the match. Regardless, we’ll have to see who will end up winning the match tonight.
