AEW fired CM Punk, and he hasn’t been to any other pro wrestling company since then. That won’t stop the rumor mill from going full-time. Now, we are getting even more information, but it’s not great news for the Second City Savior’s return to the company.
CM Punk posted a cryptic message about people missing him. As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE and CM Punk are not talking. WWE actually rejected CM Punk’s advances when he tried to send feelers out. Ringside News exclusively reported that there are no such talks between WWE and CM Punk.
Fans still believe that they are seeing teases for CM Punk on WWE television. That being said, CM Punk was spotted backstage at the recent Impact Wrestling television tapings.
During the Backstage Report podcast behind Fightful’s paywall, Sean Sapp noted that CM Punk has privately denied any WWE talks to people close to him. This includes the rumored meeting with board members and Survivor Series in Chicago too.
“I can tell you that CM Punk has told friends of his, close friends of his, ‘no that is not accurate.’ No board meeting planned, not scheduled for Survivor Series.”
Although it was stated that WWE would keep any CM Punk talks a secret, that isn’t the case. There are enough people, including Punk himself, who are denying that he is making a return, so that should help clear things up.
We will keep our eye on this story, and so many more, here at Ringside News. You never know what can happen next. You can also never say never in pro wrestling. That being said, odds are CM Punk and WWE are not going to come to any agreement any time soon.
