CM Punk’s reputation precedes himself as he has managed to become one of the most controversial stars in the history of professional wrestling. He got fired by AEW and fans are now speculating where he would go next. Now it seems an NWA star has stated that Punk would fit well in the promotion.
The Second City Saint remains a major topic of discussion as the world of professional wrestling could still welcome him back. Punk was present during recent taping for TNA, which further added to speculation.
That’s not the only promotion as the NWA has become another destination. While speaking on Monte & The Pharaoh, former WWE star and current talent Aro Stevens stated that CM Punk would be welcome in the NWA and believes that Punk would fit well in the NWA.
“If it was good for business, absolutely. Absolutely because the way our locker room is run, knowing Punk like I know him, he would fit right in. He gets a bad rep because the business is not the same as when him and I broke in, and I’m not saying it’s good, bad. Look, society’s changed. I don’t know if it’s a generational thing, but the business simply is not the same.”
Billy Corgan also made an appeal for CM Punk to come to NWA. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether The Second City Saint will make his way to the NWA, as that would be an interesting destination for him.
