Ex-NXT Star Captures Title in First Bout After Leaving WWE

WWE released a lot of people from the company, and those included quite a few talent from NXT as well That said, one particular ex-NXT Star won a title in their first match since their WWE departure recently.

Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz were one of the mainstays of the NXT women’s division, as they regularly competed in exciting matches. Her last match took place on the August 1st episode of NXT, where she teamed up with Valentina Feroz but lost against Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice.

It was then revealed that Yulisa Leon requested her release from NXT. Leon, now going by ‘Julissa’, made her in-ring return on November 3rd for The Crash Lucha Libre in Mexico. She squared off against five-way with Keyra, Trish Adora, Zamaya and the champion Dulce Tormenta. Julissa would end up winning The Crash Women’s Championship in her first match since August this year.

It is certainly great to see that the former Yulisa Leon has managed to become a singles star already and is carving her own path following her WWE departure. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next for her.
