The Undertaker put his body on the line for the enjoyment of fans and most of them always appreciated that. This commitment has earned him legendary status. Now it appears he disclosed why Paul Bearer isn’t in his Mount Rushmore of managers.
The Deadman was a fixture of WWE television for over thirty years, and he continued to be a highlight of WWE television since the early 90s. He finally retired at Survivor Series 2020 and even got inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame last year.
The Phenom has been associated with Paul Bearer for several years of his career, as Bearer would always manage The Deadman. While speaking on his new YouTube channel, Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, The Deadman explained why Paul Bearer isn’t in his Mount Rushmore of managers – simply because he considers Bearer to be the whole mountain instead.
“I did not mention one guy, and that would’ve been Paul Bearer. I didn’t mention Paul Bearer because in my eyes and in my heart, Paul Bearer is the whole damn mountain.”
Paul Bearer made a couple of stints in WWE following his initial departure, with his 2010 one being memorable due to Bearer siding with Kane against the latter’s feud with The Undertaker. Regardless, the Phenom will always have respect and love for Bearer and that’s never changing.
What do you think of what The Undertaker said? Is Paul Bearer truly the mountain as far as pro wrestling managers is concerned? Let us know in the comments!
