MJF is more than the AEW World Champion and 1/2 of the ROH Tag Team Champions. The Salt of the Earth also has a budding acting career, and he is getting quite a spotlight thanks to his part in The Iron Claw.

As part of his role in the new film The Iron Claw, The Hollywood Reporter spoke very highly of MJF. He was featured in an article that listed other cast members in the film.

The write-up about MJF was a glowing profile for The Devil. They didn’t mention how he flips off children, or any of the things that made him “our scumbag,” but they mentioned his AEW nickname. The Rock, Batista, and John Cena were also mentioned as people who blazed the path for the Salt of the Earth.

“Dwayne Johnson, John Cena and Dave Bautista have helped mark out a very well-trodden and star-studded path from wrestling ring to action film set. At 27, Friedman — better known MJF, the All Elite Wrestling champion whose seemingly naturally villainous and always entertaining ringside persona has seen him become a firm fan favorite as the so-called “People’s Scumbag” — could well be the next to make the journey and will soon be seen opposite Zac Efron in A24’s upcoming wrestling drama The Iron Claw.”

The Iron Claw looks like quite a film, and it was a long time coming for the Von Erich Family to get this movie. Sadly, the actors in the project won’t be able to do promotion for the film, due to the SAG-AFTRA Strike. It appears that he is still making his mark in Hollywood.
