Matt Riddle’s First Announced Opponent After WWE Release Is An Absolute Dream Match

WWE let go of Matt Riddle due to multiple issues that strained his relationship with the company’s top brass. As Ringside News exclusively reported, Matt Riddle was involved in more than twenty incidents that ultimately led to his release. He’s getting ready to take on the indie wrestling scene after his WWE release, and his first opponent is a dream match.

Matt Riddle’s final wrestling match occurred during the September 4th episode of WWE Raw, where he teamed up with Drew McIntyre. He had an ongoing storyline with McIntyre before disappearing from television and subsequently being released.

Bobby Fulton posted on X to proclaim that he has booked a dream match. For the first time ever, RVD and Matt Riddle will wrestle each other. It will go down in Chillicothe, Ohio on March 9th, and that will be quite a show.

Tickets for the 2024 event go on sale today, and you can check out the link below for that information. Odds are, this will be a packed house in Chillicothe, Ohio, because Matt Riddle and RVD have a long history with each other, but have never stepped in the ring with each other in an official capacity.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE was not intending for Matt Riddle’s team with Drew McIntyre to be a copy of RKBro. Perhaps, he can form a tag team with RVD outside WWE.
