AEW Making Plans For Paul Wight To Wrestle At Full Gear

AEW has a lot of things going on, and some professional veterans behind the scenes who have years of experience behind them. Paul Wight has wrestled a few times for AEW, and it appears that he’s not done yet.

AEW has Full Gear coming up on November 18th. This event will take place at the famed Kia Forum in Inglewood, and it appears that they are gearing up for a big show.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that AEW will have Paul Wight come in to work another match, at least that is the plan. At this juncture, the plan calls for the former Big Show to work a match at Full Gear.

Chris Jericho appeared on this past week’s Dynamite in a sit-down interview to address Will Hobbs’ dominant win against him the previous week on AEW Dynamite. During the course of the interview, Jericho had noted that Hobbs is big, but that he knows someone bigger.

We’d mentioned this on our post-AEW Fightful show last week, and it seems fairly obvious, but we’d still gained some inquiries. As of last week, the working plan was for Paul Wight to return to work some sort of match at AEW Full Gear. Wight hasn’t wrestled since a Dark Elevation squash in March 2022, and had a handful of matches in September and October of 2021.

The report also noted that Paul Wight “was discussed for an AEW All In match at one point involving Satnam Singh that didn’t end up happening.” We will have to see how things pan out for Paul Wight from this point on in AEW.

Although The Big Show was never inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, he’s more than deserving of a spot. That being said, his in-ring career is apparently not done yet.
