Tonight promises another exciting night of action as Orange Cassidy defends the AEW International Championship against Claudio Castagnoli. MJF is in for an uphill battle as he needs to find three partners to team with him against Bullet Club Gold.

AEW Dynamite Results (11/01/2023):

The opening package for the show airs.

Renee interviews MJF who says he has a list of everyone on the roster but he wants some advice from Adam Cole who is on video call. Cole says he is happy that MJF is the longest-reigning AEW Champion in history. He says MJF should consider Samoa Joe’s offer. MJF says he is not sure but he promises that he will successfully defend their titles. MJF leaves and Roderick Strong comes in and says MJF seems like the Devil. Cole disconnects. The Devil shows up on screen for a few seconds.

AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Orange Cassidy’s theme song plays and he walks to the ring. Claudio Castagnoli’s music plays and he comes down to the ring with Wheeler Yuta.

The match starts and Claudio slams Cassidy. He hits another bodyslam on Cassidy and stomps him. Claudio with a boot to the face. Claudio delivers multiple vicious knees to Cassidy’s midsection.

Cassidy goes for a crossbody but Claudio catches him and hits a backbreaker. Claudio chops Cassidy. Cassidy rolls out of the ring. Claudio sends him back into the ring but he rolls out again. Claudio sends Cassidy into the ring again and he rolls out. Claudio hits him with a clothesline.

Cassidy sends Claudio into the post. He dives and hits him with the suicide elbow. He goes for it again but Claudio catches him and slams him onto the barricade. Hook comes out and Yuta confronts him. The referee ejects them from the ringside. Claudio sets up Cassidy on the top rope and he hits a superplex.

*Commercial break*

Claudio attacks Cassidy in the corner. Cassidy sends Claudio into the post. Cassidy with a dropkick to Claudio sending him out of the ring. Cassidy with a suicide DDT. He sends Claudio into the ring. He hits the stundog millionaire. He goes for a DDT but Claudio catches him and hits the giant swing. He locks in the sharpshooter.

Claudio transitions into the crossface. Cassidy manages to get out of it but Claudio hits him with an uppercut. Cover! 1…..2…..kick out. Claudio with the anvil elbows. Claudio locks in the sleeper hold. Cassidy fights out of it and hits the Orange punch. He then hits the beach break. Claudio rolls out of the ring. Claudio gets back in the ring.

Cassidy kicks Claudio in the chest and he stomps him. Cassidy hits the tornado DDT. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Cassidy hits the hurricanrana and pins Claudio.

Winner: Orange Cassidy (c)

Jon Moxley’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Cassidy gets back in the ring and goes after Moxley. Moxley knocks him down and stomps him. Moxley with vicious forearm strikes. Security comes into the ring but Moxley and Claudio take them out. Moxley attacks Cassidy. Claudio pulls him away and Moxley leaves the ring.

MJF is backstage outside Kenny Omega’s locker room. He knocks on the door and Chris Jericho opens. He asks if Kenny is inside and Jericho slams the door. Wardlow holds MJF against the wall and he says he is going to take everything away from him. He runs into the Acclaimed and Max Caster offers to be his partner but MJF walks away.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship: Hangman Adam Page & Young Bucks (c) vs. Brian Cage & Gates of Agony

Brian Cage’s music plays and he comes out with Gates of Agony. The Elite’s music plays and they come down to the ring.

The match begins and Hangman attacks Bishop in the corner and knocks him down. The Young Bucks take down Cage and Liona. They dive onto Gates of Agony and Cage. Matt tags in and attacks Kaun in the corner. Nick tags in and hits a senton on Kaun.

*Commercial break*

Page comes in and attacks Gates of Agony. He knocks down Kaun and sends Liona out of the ring. Page hits the powerbomb on Kaun. Swerve comes out with Prince Nana. He says he was at Page’s house. Adam Page runs after Swerve and Prince Nana. Nick superkicks Kaun. He sends Liona outside the ring. Cage with a clothesline. He then suplexes Nick from the outside to inside the ring.

The Gates of Agony slam Matt. Cage with a powerbomb to Nick and he follows it with a knee strike. Gates of Agony slam Nick again for the win.

Winner: Brian Cage & Gates of Agony (c)

Hangman brawls with Swerve backstage. Security personnel try to separate them. At ringside, Matt is upset and he grabs a steel chair and hits the ring post.

*Commercial break*

MJF is backstage and he knocks on a door and he writes something on a name card that says Darby Allin. He runs into Acclaimed who asks him to pick them.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and he introduces Adam Copeland. Adam Copeland starts by praising Tony. He says Sting got in his face last week. He says he and Sting has been a sounding board for each other. He says he respects Sting and Darby Allin. He calls Darby a foundation for this industry. Copeland says everybody wants answers.

Christian Cage’s theme song plays and he comes out to the ring. Christian asks the crowd to shut up. He says before Adam can give his answer he wants to paint a picture. He says he is going to retire Sting at Full Gear. He says Darby has a gimp arm after WrestleDream.

Christian hints at Adam’s neck problems. He says he hates for this fairytale to turn into a nightmare and he asks him to back down from him or he will snap Adam’s neck and leave him in a wheelchair. He asks Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne to attack him. They charge the ring and Adam fights them off. Christian is trapped in the ring with Copeland. Luchasaurus attacks him from behind. Wayne hits the Wayne’s world on Copeland.

Nick grabs a chair from under the ring. Sting’s music plays and he comes out and attacks Nick. Darby charges the ring and they brawl with Christian and Luchasaurus. Copeland hits Christian with the spear and he takes the mic and says he is going to beat him up. He says he will partner with Sting and Darby at Full Gear.

Tony Khan is backstage with Nigel. Tony says it has been a great year for AEW and they had a successful show in London. He says it’s the start of the holiday season. He says he can’t think of a better gift than a ticket to next year’s All In. He says tickets are on sale December 1st but you can get the tickets early. Nigel says they can sign up on Ticket Master to get early access tickets.

Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega vs. Daddy Magic and Angelo Parker

Angelo Parker’s music plays and he comes out with Daddy Magic and Jake Hager. Chris Jericho’s theme song plays and he walks to the ring. Kenny Omega’s music plays next and he comes out to the ring.

The match begins and Daddy Magic and Parker attack Jericho and Omega. Jericho fights back against Daddy Magic and Parker. He knocks down Daddy Magic and tags out. They hit the double suplex on Daddy Magic.

*Commercial break*

Jericho fights back against Parker. He hits him with an axe handle. Jericho locks int he Walls of Jericho. He then his Menard with a dropkick. He hits Parker with a codebreaker. Cover! 1….2…Menard breaks it up.

Omega with a snap dragon suplex on Menard. He hits Hager with a V Trigger and takes him out. Jericho goes for the lionsault but Menard hits him with a bat. Cover! 1……2….kick out. Parker goes to hit Jericho with the bat and misses. Jericho catches him with the Judas elbow for the win.

Winner: Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega

Don Callis gets on the mic and says Omega and Jericho are hard to get rid of and he suggests they take it up a notch. He then challenges them to a street fight in two weeks. Jericho mocks Callis. Omega accepts Don Callis’ challenge. He says he has will also add Kota Ibushi to his team. Callis says he is a man short. Jericho says he looks at Hobbs and he is a big man but he has someone bigger than Hobbs. Paul Wight’s music plays and he comes out. He knocks out Kyle Fletcher.

*Commercial break*

Renee interviews Omega and Jericho. Jericho says Don Callis family has to face them in two weeks. Matt interrupts and says he thought the Elite got back together but they haven’t worked together. He reminds Omega what Jericho did to their father and they start arguing. Matt asks them to clean up the locker room before leaving and he storms off.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Willow Nightingale

Willow Nightingale’s music plays and he comes out to the ring. Hikaru Shida’s theme song plays and she walks to the ring.

The match starts and they shake hands. Willow knocks down Shida. She does it again and hits a crossbody. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Shida sends Willow outside the ring. Shida with a crossbody on Willow.

*Commercial break*

Shida with a suplex to Willow. Willow comes back with an enzuigiri. She attacks Shida in the corner and follows it with a high boot. Willow hits a spinebuster. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Willow knocks her down. She hits a dropkick but Shida gets back up and hits a dropkick of her own.

Shida climbs the top rope but is stopped. Shida hits an avalanche falcon arrow. Cover! 1….kick out. Both women exchange strikes. Willows hits Shida with the pounce. Willow hits the Death Valley driver. Cover! 1…..2…kick out. Shida hits a hurricanrana. Willow comes back with a lariat. Shida hits her with a knee strike. Shida hits the katana for the win.

Winner: Hikaru Shida (c)

Toni Storm’s music plays and she comes out. Shida goes after Toni and attacks her. Toni runs away and Shida chases after her. The lights go out. They come back and Julia Hart is in the ring. Skye Blue comes down to the ring and she sprays the blue mist in Julia’s face.

MJF is backstage. The Acclaimed walk-in. Bowens says Max is the only one who likes him. Max says if he teams with then he needs to scissor them and wear their attire. MJF says he won’t tag with them and he has one more group on his list. Jeff Jarrett runs into him and he asks him to come home.

Roderick Strong runs into Renee and he calls Adam Cole. He says MJF didn’t ask them to team with him. Cole asks him to shut up and he hangs up.

Bullet Club Gold vs. MJF and three mystery partners

Bullet Club Gold’s music plays and they come down to the ring. The Acclaimed’s music plays and they come out to the ring. MJF’s music plays and he walks to the ring.

The match begins with MJF and Juice Robinson. Jay White tags in. MJF and Jay tag out. Juice knocks down Bowens. Bowens comes back with a bulldog. Austin tags in. Billy Gunn also tags in.

Austin knocks down Billy. He comes back with a punch. Austin tags out. Jay kicks Billy Gunn. Gunn tags out and MJF charges for White. The Acclaimed ask him to scissor but he walks away.

Bowens attacks Colten who comes back with a dropkick. Colten attacks Bowens in the corner. White tags in and hits the dragon screw on Bowens. Juice tags in and attacks Bowens in the corner. White tags in and continues the assault on Bowens. He goes to work on Bowens.

Colten tags in and goes for a splash and misses. Bill Gunn tags in and hits an elbow drop on Colten. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Billy bodyslams Colten. Bowens tags in and hits the scissor me timbers. Bullet Club Gold pulls out the Acclaimed and attacks them. Jay White tags in and attacks Max.

White sends Max out of the ring and The Gunns attack him. Juice sends Max into the ring. Caster rolls out of the ring. A brawl breaks out at ringside. Bullet Club takes out The Acclaimed.

Caster tags out and MJF attacks The Gunns and Juice Robinson. He hits everyone with a bodyslam. The Gunns go for the 310 To Yum but MJF counters into the DDT. He hits them with the kangaroo kick. Jay White hits the Bladerunner for the win.

Winner: Bullet Club Gold

The Acclaimed come into the ring to save MJF from an assault. White goes to hit MJF with the title but Caster saves him and gets hit with the title. Caster asks him to scissor and after a lot of convincing he finally agrees and they scissor in the ring.
