Seth Rollins is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and he has done a lot in his career. The former Shield member has also seen a number of injuries during his time in the squared circle. All of those bumps and bruises add up in a big way, and sometimes retirement comes to mind.

Although Seth Rollins is in the prime of his career as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he also has a life outside of wrestling. He had a child with his wife, Becky Lynch, and there is going to eventually come a time when he chooses to stay at home rather than makes journeys to take bumps in the ring.

Seth Rollins recently sat down for quite a feast with My Last Meal. During the conversation, he was asked about how physical things get in the ring and whether he’s been in a situation where the end of his career seemed imminent.

“I’ve had a lot of injuries. I’m constantly banged up, bumps and bruises here and there. Separated my shoulder more times than I can count, broke my jaw. Blew my knee out completely. Tore my MCL a separate time after that.”

“I had a little baby girl, and then you start to think, ‘Okay, when do I wanna wrap this thing up?’ Mostly so I can be, you know, an active father for her, and not just be on the road all the time.”

“I went to see one of my favorite bands a couple of weeks ago, The Wonder Years, and the lead singer, Dan, is a good friend of mine and he’s got this bit where he tells the audience that ‘We’re closer to the end than we are to the beginning.’ That resonated with me. The crowd boos, and then he turns around and says, ‘We’ve got a lot more in the f*cking tank.’ That’s how I felt. It was a real fired up moment for me, you know? Up there in the bleachers, not in the pit — no where near the pit.”

Seth Rollins has given his body to pro wrestling fans for their entertainment for a long time. Everyone has an end to their story, but The Visionary is far from finished writing his.

Seth Rollins’ next big challenge will be on November 4th at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Only time will tell how things pan out for him in that match, because Drew McIntyre is quite an opponent with a lot to prove as well.
