AEW is going to present a live episode of Dynamite this week at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. They will also include a Rampage taping right after that. Tony Khan’s company is always happy to welcome a hometown pro wrestling legend, that is if they can get them to show up. It doesn’t appear that Jim Cornette can make it this week in Louisville.
Jeff Jarrett stated that he would welcome Jim Cornette on AEW Dynamite. “I would love to have Corny. I’d love to have him,“ Double J said. That offer may be generous, but Cornette isn’t going for it.
Jim Cornette read what Jeff Jarrett said, and how much he would “love” to have him on AEW Dynamite this week as the company lands in Louisville. The famous pro wrestling manager, who has been critical of AEW in the past, stated that he tried to make things work for Dynamite this week, but he couldn’t find someone to take the other ticket on the two for one deal Tony Khan is running this week.
“I appreciate the invitation from @RealJeffJarrett to attend the @AEW TV taping in Louisville tomorrow–I tried hard to make it work, but I couldn’t find another person in town going so we could split the 2 for 1 ticket offer. But maybe they can find another ratings ploy in time.”
Obviously, Jim Cornette is not going to take Jeff Jarrett up on his generous offer to attend AEW Dynamite this week. That being said, you cannot forget about the Cult of Cornette, who very well may show up to enjoy the show in their own way.
AEW has brought in some impressive, legendary names in the past, but it appears that Jim Cornette is not going to be one of them. This may disappoint some fans, but they can always catch him on his podcasts if they want to hear his thoughts on Tony Khan’s company.
The saying is that you can never say never in pro wrestling, and this is still true. Still, there are a lot more likely things that could happen before Jim Cornette steps foot on AEW soil. You can check out Cornette’s reply to Jeff Jarrett below.
