WWE has a big WrestleMania show in store for fans in April, but one big Superstar may not make it to the show of shows in Philly. Drew McIntyre’s deal with WWE is ticking down, and his contract will actually be up before the showcase of the immortals.
Drew McIntyre is set to take on Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. That being said, he has not inked any new deal with WWE.
Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Drew McIntyre has not inked any new deal with WWE. At this point, it appears that he only has five months left under this contract.
Recently, Fightful had reported that many top WWE stars whose contracts are expiring in 2024 have yet to be approached by WWE. We can’t say that he’s not been approached, but as of now, we’re told that Drew McIntyre has not signed a new contract with WWE. There had been some Twitter rumors indicating he had re-signed, but according to what he and WWE have told people, that’s not true.
We’ll likely be updating this repeatedly as the process goes, as Drew McIntyre is the first major domino that could fall in the TKO era of re-signing major talent to WWE deals. Drew McIntyre has less than five months left on his WWE deal, and it’s actually up ahead of next year’s WrestleMania.
It was also noted that, “Other talent, namely Becky Lynch, have deals up in 2024 as well.’ We will have to see what happens with this contract situation. For more on this story, and so many more, please stay tuned with us here at Ringside News.
We will keep our eyes open for any new progress with Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract status. He has left the company before to make a big name for himself elsewhere. Only time will tell if that happens for Drew once again.
