CM Punk, a controversial figure in the pro wrestling world, has only seen his reputation drop over the past several months. After getting fired from AEW, fans have been wondering where Punk would end up next. Some fans are convinced he will go to TNA in the end and Punk has been warned that his in-ring drawbacks will be more noticeable in TNA.
The Second City Saint remains a major topic of discussion as fans continue to speculate his next pro wrestling destination. Punk was present during a recent taping for TNA, which further added to speculation.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker T talked about CM Punk making his way to TNA. While Booker T certainly wanted him to go to TNA, the WWE Hall of Famer pointed out difficulties that Punk could face there. In fact, he warned Punk that his in-ring drawbacks would be more noticeable in TNA. This is due to the fact that TNA has smaller venues, so every little detail will be noticed by fans.
“His wrestling is going to be more spotlighted on, you know, just because it’s smaller crowds. everything is going to be seen. You’re not going to be able to hide anything in an arena like that. And one thing about getting older is you’re going to lose a step. That’s just…that’s just the way it is. I think it would be so much more noticeable as well, let’s just say like this, you would be looking at CM Punk’s work so much more than anything else outside of he’s doing anything outside of anything that he would be doing at TNA.”
TNA also faces other obstacles as far as signing CM Punk is concerned. Regardless, only time will tell whether Punk will end up in TNA, where he was once a talent prior to this WWE debut.
