AEW is still going, as they fill up five hours of television every week for Warner Bros Discovery. Booking so much television can be a daunting task, and it appears that talent are not well-informed at this point.

Tony Khan still books AEW in his own vision. He may have some help, but he is the ultimate decider on what makes it to television. That being said, things might not be going so easy for him right now.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW talent are increasingly in the dark when it comes to their creative direction. This has caused a problem, because the wrestlers often don’t know what kind of things they will be doing on television until they show up to the building.

“If you follow AEW, you know that a lot of these things are being decided a lot later than previous. Guys are getting their information about what they’re doing later, and decisions are being made later. That’s just how it is. At times, it’s the day of the show, and they don’t know.”

Dave Meltzer went on to note that, “it’s almost like at times, the way we used to talk about WWE … which is also very frustrating for talent.

It was stated that a lot of talent have a say in what they’re doing on television, but when there are no long-term ideas it makes things very difficult. Only time will tell if things are fixed in AEW, but it doesn’t appear that things are going any smoother right now.
