Robert Stone has been eagerly awaiting his first-ever scheduled singles match in WWE, and he’s been going hard on social media with some heartfelt posts. He has quite a battle ahead of him against Bron Breakker at Halloween Havoc Night 2 on October 30th.
Since joining WWE in 2019, NXT’s Mr. Stone has predominantly served as a manager, supporting talents like Chelsea Green and more recently Von Wagner. He is gearing up for quite a battle on Tuesday, and he’s taking it seriously.
Robert Stone’s strong friendship with Von Wagner led to him challenging two-time former NXT Champion Bron Breakker after Breakker’s aggressive assault on Wagner during the September 5 episode of NXT. That match will mark Stone’s inaugural scheduled singles bout in WWE, with his previous one-on-one match in the company being an impromptu encounter against Xyon Quinn that followed a ‘dance-off’ on November 2nd, 2021, in NXT.
For the past week, Robert Stone has updated his X account with a lost of posts. In a text graphic, he was very open about how big this match is for him.
Last year two days after Halloween Havoc my mother passed away and it was a numbing pain I am still feeling today.
Because of that at this years Halloween Havoc Bron can’t hurt me more than I’ve already been hurt.
I know everyone thinks I am insane for wanting this match and they aren’t wrong. But just remember this…
When the bell rings and it is just me and him in the ring, ANYTHING can happen and ya can bet your bottom dollar that my experience and intelligence will come into play to get revenge for my best friend.
While Robert Stone is recognized in WWE for his managerial role, the 40-year-old boasts over two decades of in-ring experience, debuting in 2000 and wrestling for promotions such as TNA and Pro Wrestling NOAH under the moniker Robbie E.
In the week leading up to his match against Breakker at Halloween Havoc Night Two, Stone has shared daily Twitter posts, offering personal stories, throwback images from his 2000 debut, and photos from matches against Kurt Angle and Breakker’s uncle, Scott Steiner. In his latest post, Stone shared an image from his wrestling debut in 2000.
We will have to see how things pan out for Robert Stone against Bron Breakker. Odds are, he will put a lot on the line, and only time will tell whether Von Wager makes an appearance as well.
