AEW is doing their best to attract attention from fans, and Tony Khan has signed some impressive names to help accomplish that. In the process, the company has experienced some speed bumps, and television viewership just isn’t what it used to be.

This week, AEW drew 774,000 viewers for their flagship Wednesday night Dynamite show. One day prior, WWE NXT brought in 787,000 viewers on October 24th for their Halloween Havoc Night 1 special. This marked another week in October that NXT beat AEW in viewership, one night with head-to-head competition.

Wrestlenomics posted on X to reveal that this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was historic for the wrong reason. They brought in their lowest viewership since June 2022.

“AEW Dynamite averaged 774,000 viewers on TBS on Wednesday, the lowest since June 2022.”

Wrestlenomics also posted a chart of this week’s AEW Dynamite behind their paywall. As you can see, they started off with 982,000 fans, but they were unable to keep that amount at all, as the first half-hour saw a drastic drop in viewership from 936k to 752k. By the end of the night, AEW Dynamite only had 646k viewers.

We will continue our ongoing coverage of AEW, and everything else in the pro wrestling world, here at Ringside News. Hopefully, Tony Khan’s company can pull things up, because they have some passionate fans who are really rooting for their success.
