WWE NXT head referee Darryl Sharma recently appeared as a referee on WWE SmackDown, prompting some speculation that he might have been called up to the main roster. However, Sharma took to Twitter to clarify his status and confirm that he was only “visiting” SmackDown for the night.

In his tweet, Sharma stated that he would be returning to NXT soon, dispelling any notions of a permanent move to the main roster. He also mentioned that his next appearance would be on night two of NXT Halloween Havoc.

Sharma’s presence on SmackDown was notable, particularly during a celebration by Chase U (Duke Hudson and Andre Chase) after winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. Jacy Jayne, a recent part-time student of Chase U, shoved Sharma out of the way during the celebration.

With Sharma’s clarification, it appears that he will continue his duties as an NXT referee and remain an integral part of the NXT brand. His appearance on SmackDown was likely a one-time occurrence rather than a full-time call-up to the main roster.
