One of AEW’s notable talents, Thunder Rosa, may be gearing up for a return to the wrestling ring after being sidelined for over a year due to a back injury.
During her absence, Rosa has continued to contribute to AEW by providing Spanish commentary for the promotion, maintaining her connection with the company.
The last time Thunder Rosa competed was in August 2022, where she secured a victory in a trios match alongside Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida. Her back injury led to her relinquishing the AEW Women’s Title and withdrawing from a scheduled title defense at All Out.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Thunder Rosa has been medically cleared to return to in-ring action for quite some time now. However, her comeback hinges on creative plans and storyline direction.
“She’s still on the Collision intro, still doing commentary. She’s good to go. She’s been good to go for a while though. Waiting on creative.”
As AEW fans eagerly await her return, it remains to be seen how she will be reintroduced to the wrestling world and what impact she will make upon her comeback.
Thunder Rosa’s return could add a significant dimension to AEW’s women’s division and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the promotion’s wrestling product.
