The world of professional wrestling is an ever-changing landscape, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t affected by events taking place in the real world. In fact, an indie event recently got canceled after the tragic mass shooting in Maine.

Limitless Wrestling, a wrestling promotion based in Maine, took to Twitter and officially announced that they decided to cancel their upcoming event after the tragic mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine.

The tragic mass shooting left 18 people dead and 13 injured over the weekend and the shooter has been shot dead. The promotion canceled Fresh Blood 2023 on Saturday night in Yarmouth due to “public safety concerns following the mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine.”

Tomorrow’s live event in Yarmouth, Maine has been cancelled. We’ll recover from this. If you’d like to support those directly impacted by the Lewiston tragedies, a Mass Shootings Victims’ Fund has been launched.
