SmackDown tonight is set to feature a contract signing with LA Knight and Roman Reigns ahead of their championship match at Crown Jewel.
Also scheduled for tonight’s show is a match between the LWO and The Street Profits.
It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.
SmackDown kicks off with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns making his way out to the ring with Paul Heyman, as Reigns holds his title belt up he is interrupted by LA Knight walking down to the ring without even looking at Reigns. Reigns and Heyman continue to walk to the ring as the crowd chants for LA Knight. LA Knight sits at the head of the table, LA Knight says it’s time for Reigns to sign the contract and sign his title away.
General manager Nick Aldis formally introduces the contract signing before being cut off by LA Knight saying everyone knows why we’re here. LA Knight signs the contract and throws it to Reigns. As Reigns begins to speak he is greeted to 2015 era boos from the crowd. Reigns asks LA Knight if he’s ever even had a contract signing or a championship match before. Reigns says LA Knight has no clue what he’s doing right now. Reigns goes to sign the contract but his pen is apparently out of ink, Heyman throws the pen away and hands Reigns a new one. Reigns signs the contract as the crowd chants “Roman’s scared”.
Reigns gets up to leave and as he does LA Knight says it looks like he’s the head of the table and he wants Reigns to acknowledge him. LA Knight says that if Reigns is going to underestimate him then Reigns is already beat. LA Knight says he already needs one time, because he won’t fail like Reigns did many times before, even mentioning suffering succotash. LA Knight leads the crowd in chanting his name which causes Reigns to flip the table and begin to stomp on LA Knight in the corner.
Reigns throws LA Knight into the ring post and exits the ring to grab a table and slide it in the ring. Reigns sets up the table and grabs LA Knight and goes for a punch but LA Knight blocks the punch and fires back at Reigns. LA Knight goes to grab Reigns when Jimmy Uso runs in the ring which allows Reigns to run away. LA Knight ducks a strike from Jimmy and LA Knight slams Jimmy through the table. LA Knight stands on the corner and calls out Reigns at the top of the ramp.
