CM Punk’s AEW firing led to tons of rumors about him. Although Impact Wrestling and the NWA are the only two companies who have openly or internally expressed interest, fans are still hoping that Punk’s WWE return is around the corner.
Ringside News provided comprehensive coverage of WWE RAW this week. It was quite a show as they built toward Crown Jewel. Fans were also listening intently for any clues they could find throughout the three-hour show.
Shinsuke Nakamura used the words “set me free” in his promo that was translated from Japanese this week on WWE RAW. Of course, those are lyrics from CM Punk’s theme song. That caused some fans to perk up, because they made yet another CM Punk connection that they believe was inserted into the show as a tease.
Rhea Ripley also helped dose more fuel on that fire when The Nightmare said that she had something “to get off my chest.” That is the same way that CM Punk opened up his famous pipe bomb promo.
Ringside News exclusively reported that there are no talks going on between WWE and CM Punk. He reached out, and his offer was rejected. WWE doesn’t need him during their booming period, and he is not booked for Survivor Series in Chicago. That won’t stop WWE from selling out every seat in Allstate Arena.
Only time will tell if CM Punk ends up in another company, with or without a contract. WWE rejected his inquires about bringing him back, and at this point, it’s anyone’s guess where the Second City Savior will end up next.
