AEW has brought in several people who used to be employed by WWE. At this point, the backstage area somewhat resembles a RAW Reunion episode, and now we have confirmation of one more former WWE talent who is with the company as a producer.

AEW brought on another WWE alumni to serve as a producer as they expand their presence through Dynamite, Collision Rampage, and the ROH brand. Now, Scotty 2 Hotty has joined that list of backstage names for AEW.

Scotty 2 Hotty previously worked in a training capacity for WWE between 2016 and 2021, focusing on the NXT brand at the Performance Center. He got a lot of experience in WWE, but now he is taking that to AEW.

After requesting and receiving his release from WWE, Scotty 2 Hotty ventured into the independent circuit. It was reported in July that he had taken on a producer role with All Elite Wrestling.

During an appearance on Wrestling With Johners, Scotty 2 Hotty confirmed that he is now All Elite.

“I don’t think it’s a huge secret that I’ve been working for AEW as a producer behind the scenes, as a coach and producer there. I have an opportunity to do more with them on a regular basis. So it looks like at the beginning of the year, I’ll be going pretty hard with them if everything works out the way I hope it does. It’s exciting. It’s bittersweet because I enjoy doing these tours more than anything.”

Scotty 2 Hotty is arguably worthy of a WWE Hall of Fame induction as part of Too Cool, with Rikishi and Brian Christopher. He is no longer with WWE, so that might delay his induction, if it happens at all. Either way, Scotty 2 Hotty seems very happy with his new employer.

We will have to see if Scotty 2 Hotty ever gets back in the ring, but Tony Khan may book him down the line. You never know what can happen in AEW at this rate.

What’s your take on Scotty 2 Hotty in AEW? Will he held make a difference? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
