AEW All Out was a big night for the company, as it was the first event following CM Punk’s firing. It featured a lot of surprises, which included CJ Perry’s debut at the event. Perry has now disclosed that she was warned about getting CM Punk chants before her debut at All Out.
Following her WWE release back in 2021, fans have always wondered if she would join her husband Miro in AEW. After a long wait, CJ Perry made her debut at AEW All Out and saved Miro from Powerhouse Hobbs.
While speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, CJ Perry talked about her debut in AEW, which took place in Chicago. Perry revealed that she was warned about getting CM Punk chants during the show, ahead of her debut.
“I was really excited. I was so excited to return to wrestling. Especially in Chicago. I love Chicago and I actually debuted in WWE in Chicago. It was the beginning of March [in 2014]. CM Punk had just left so everybody was like ‘Are you going to be okay?! There’s going to be CM Punk chants!’ And I feel like I held my own with Miro.”
Perry was at ringside for Action Andretti’s match with Miro on last week’s Collision, where Miro decimated Andretti. It remains to be seen how CJ Perry and Miro’s storyline will continue to develop in the coming weeks.
