AEW has signed a lot of stars that fans remember from previous companies and projects. It seems that Tony Khan may want to complete a story left open by WWE Studios and Seven Bucks Productions’ Fighting With My Family.
Saraya is enjoying a refreshed run in AEW, years after she was told that she would never wrestle again due to injuries. She took a chance in America and found a lot of success, but her brother, Zak Knight, was left at home. Now, she may have a chance to change that.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Zak Knight announced that he is leaving the UK for America. It appears that the 32-year-old brother of Saraya may have a spot waiting for him in AEW if he does well in a tryout.
“Zak Knight, or Zak Zodiac, was on the Knight Family show, I don’t know if it was today or yesterday, and he said that this was gonna be his last show, and he is going to the United States.”
“I know, Saraya — it’s Saraya’s brother, and if you saw the movie Fighting With My Family, this is the brother who was at the WWE tryout and the one who was the better of the two, but he was not chosen to go to WWE, because Saraya was a cute girl, and he got the nod and he just, they didn’t see anything in him. This is many, many years later.”
“So, I think he’s gonna get an AEW tryout. I mean, she went to Tony Khan and asked if her brother can get a tryout, so I think that’s what is happening there.”
We will have to see if Saraya can get her brother a job in AEW. It didn’t work out for Zak Knight for WWE, but Tony Khan may be much more likely to do Saraya a favor and hire her brother.
Fighting With My Family was quite a movie, but they may need a sequel when everything is said and done. All things considered, WWE wouldn’t be involved in that second movie at all, so we have to wonder if The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions would still be interested in producing it.
