AEW brought another episode of AEW Collision this week, and they had a lot of competition. Not only was Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory event going on at the same time, but they also had a busy night of Saturday night television in general. Now, we know how the viewership turned out.
The crowd for this week’s episode of AEW Collision and Battle of the Belts in the FedEx Forum weren’t the best. Thankfully, they had more fans watching at home than the under 3k that they had in the building.
Alfred Konuwa reports that the October 21st episode of AEW Collision brought in 482,000 viewers, which is slightly down from the previous week’s 504,000 number. 189k of those fans were in the 18 to 49 demographic.
AEW Collision started this week with a dream match between Andrade El Idolo and Bryan Danielson. Also, Skye Blue beat HollyHood Haley J, and fans were surprised to see the OVW standout on AEW Collision.
Also, Austin & Colton Gunn defeated The Outrunners in tag team action. Malakai Black also made his return to AEW television this week.
As noted above, the October 14th episode of AEW Collision drew 504,000 viewers. In the coveted 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.14 rating. This is the highest viewership that the show has recorded since August 26 this year. This is despite the fact that the show saw competition from multiple college football games.
We will have to see how AEW Collision’s viewership is able to do in the weeks to come. Tony Khan doesn’t seem to have any quit in him at this point, so odds are they will keep doing their best to load up every Saturday night program.
