WWE is preparing for Survivor Series next month, and the writing is already on the wall for how they will book WarGames. Needless to say, fans are in for quite a ride as they approach the annual Thanksgiving-time show.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WarGames is coming back this year. The plan is to hold the match at Survivor Series. The 2023 Survivor Series event is slated to go down at Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois, on November 25th.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that the current plan for WarGames was teased on SmackDown this week. That could very plausibly see RAW vs SmackDown in some form or fashion, but we will have to see how they book things.

Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis’ little segment on SmackDown this week was a huge clue that they are going that direction. Pearce even threw in a reference to the famous double-caged match.

“Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis’ promo was intended to be a reference to WWE’s plans to run War Games, which was the plan as of a few weeks ago. We’re working to find out if that’s still the active plan.”

We will have to see how WWE books WarGames. Survivor Series is already a sold-out show, and the company has even added more seats to accommodate demand.

Ringside News exclusively reported that we reached out to ask about the current plan for the big Survivor Series double-cage match. We are told that the company has come to a decision on who will be in that match. There is no debating it, because that plan is locked down.

Survivor Series will be quite a show, and only time will tell what fans are talking about the morning after the Chicago event. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more as we continue our comprehensive coverage.
