WWE brought another episode of SmackDown this week, and there is a lot to unpack after everything is said and done. Now, we know what the viewership looked like when those numbers rolled in.
Ringside News provided comprehensive coverage of the October 20th episode of WWE SmackDown. The show kicked off with LA Knight, and they brought a lot of attention toward their November 4th Crown Jewel event. The main event was also quite newsworthy, as WWE ended the 2nd show of this season in a big way.
Alfred Konuwa reports that the October 20th episode of WWE SmackDown drew an overnight average of 2.159 million viewers, which is slightly down from the previous week’s 2.35 million number. They also brought in a 768k in the 18 to 49 demographic.
Bianca Belair’s return to the blue brand was a big moment for the women’s division. She came down after IYO Sky successfully retained her title over Charlotte Flair in the main event.
John Cena was also around for the October 20th episode of SmackDown, and he was looking for a fight. He wanted to break an over 2,000-day record he had without a win on television. He even mentioned retirement. Only time will tell how that one turns out for the 16x World Champion, but he only has a couple of weeks left before he supposedly goes back to Hollywood.
As mentioned above, the October 13th episode of SmackDown drew 2.325 million viewers for their season premiere episode. They also brought in 756k in the 18 to 49 demographic, which made them the #1 show on broadcast television in that demo.
