Impact Wrestling’s 2023 Bound For Glory event went down on October 21st, 2023, at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois. This year’s was set to be a very newsworthy night for the company as well.

The Call Your Shot Gauntlet was already set to be a huge match. Advertised talent for the match were Jake Something, Dirty Dango, Champagne Singh, Eric Young, Jordynne Grace, Brian Myers, Shera, KiLynn King, Jody Threat, Bully Ray, Joe Hendry, Frankie Kazarian, Kenny King, Gisele Shaw, and Eddie Edwards. That being said, there was always room for surprises.
Juventud Guerrera was spotted in the area prior to Bound for Glory. He showed up in this match to pop the crowd as a big surprise. Fans loved seeing Juventud Guerrera once again, but he didn’t win the match.
Sonny Kiss made a big debut for Impact Wrestling during this match as well. Chants for “Sonny” rang out in the Illinois, as nobody saw that debut coming. Kiss had left AEW in recent memory, but it didn’t take long for Impact Wrestling to offer an opportunity.
Matt Cardona also showed up as the Indie God brought a big reaction from the crowd. The Brian Myers entered the match later on, he and Cardona shared quite a hug, only to have Sonny Kiss ram their heads together.
The Call Your Shot Gauntlet match was certainly full of surprising names. In the end, Jordynne Grace won, as she pinned Bully Ray at the end of the match, making history in the process. We will have to see who shows up in Impact Wrestling next to surprise fans.
