CM Punk was fired from AEW, and it didn’t take long for rumors about him showing up elsewhere to pop up. Now, with Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory event coming up tonight, the rumors of Punk appearing on the show are growing.

CM Punk’s status for tonight’s IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory 2023 pay-per-view has been officially confirmed. Speculation regarding Punk’s connection to IMPACT Wrestling had been ongoing following his departure from AEW. During his time with AEW, Punk visited the IMPACT backstage, and reports indicated that there was interest from the IMPACT side.

Another point of interest is that tonight’s Bound For Glory event is taking place in Cicero, Illinois, where Punk’s close friend Ace Steel is scheduled to work. According to PW Insider, Punk is indeed in Illinois today, but he won’t be at Bound For Glory.

It’s reported that CM Punk will be in Chicago, as he plans to attend the Chicago Blackhawks game, which coincides with the timing of the pay-per-view. As for the latest regarding Punk’s potential return to WWE, while Punk expressed his desire to return, WWE decided against it for the time being.

With Survivor Series scheduled for Chicago next month, rumors are likely to persist until it’s confirmed or refuted. Additionally, it’s noteworthy that Vince McMahon seems to have lost some of his decision-making authority, as he was reportedly the one who made the call not to bring Punk back. That being said, Punk’s return to WWE isn’t likely at this point.
