WWE went through a few massive changes in recent memory, and that’s not likely to stop. That being said, the company is going the way that Triple H wants it to now, and Vince McMahon’s opinion is no longer a huge factor as it has been for decades.

It was previously reported that Endeavor has “knighted” Triple H over Vince McMahon at this point. The Game’s creative vision is running the company at this point, and Vince McMahon is more of a figurehead.

This was all noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It was also stated that one person close to the situation informed the outlet that Ari Emanuel actually wants Vince McMahon for his name and notoriety, and not so much his creative vision at all.

“One person close to the situation said that Emanuel has a vision for how he can use the worldwide notoriety of McMahon, and that vision doesn’t include him micro-managing the weekly television shows.”

“This is all subject to change, and if there is a downturn in popularity, the idea of Vince being back in the spot isn’t inconceivable, but it’s not likely to happen now. For a long time there was fear that the loss of McMahon, because he was the man who built the business, could cause the stock price to decline. But when McMahon left the company, and brand popularity continued to increase, that fear Wall Street once had was alleviated. If anything, when McMahon returned in January, the stock price was more likely to drop, except he returned and brought up selling the company, which led to excitement around the stock and a rise in price.”

Vince McMahon was making remote changes for a while, but that practice has diminished in recent memory. At this point, the only real late changes that have gone down needed to take place due to clearance issues, and not creative alterations.

WWE wouldn’t be where it is today without Vince McMahon. Now that Mr. McMahon has stepped aside as a new era started, we can only imagine where they will be in another thirty years.
