Impact Wrestling’s Bound for Glory event will go down on October 21st, 2023, at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois. That Illinois location has drummed up some CM Punk rumors, and this new piece of information may add more fuel to those fires.
Ace Steel is set to participate in Impact Bound For Glory this weekend. PW Insider has reported that Steel is present in Chicago and will be working as a producer for the entire weekend, which encompasses Saturday’s PPV and the subsequent post-pay-per-view television taping.
Former WWE NXT and AEW Coach and Producer Chris Guy aka Ace Steel is in Chicago and will be working Bound for Glory weekend as a Producer for Impact Wrestling, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources.
One source categorized Steel as having a tryout as a Producer this weekend, noting that Impact Wrestling had wanted to bring him in before he returned to work for AEW in a remote position. Now that Steel is again free and clear of his AEW contract, we are told Impact once again reached out and offered the same opportunity.
Steel actually worked for Impact back when it was known as TNA at least once as a wrestler in 2003, working a TNA Xplosion tag team bout.
This opportunity is referred to as a producer tryout for Steel. Impact decided to bring him in after he was released from AEW following an incident during All Out. Only time will tell how things work out for Ace Steel in Impact Wrestling.
It’s important to note that the report does not mention any potential appearance by CM Punk at Bound For Glory. That being said, Ace Steel’s connections to CM Punk cannot be understated.
CM Punk demanded that AEW bring Ace Steel in when he was hired. Only time will tell if Ace Steel’s inclusion in Impact Wrestling is a sign that CM Punk is on his way to Bound for Glory. After all, Impact Wrestling is very interested about signing CM Punk.
