WWE has a lot of creative irons in the fire, and NXT is on the road to putting on another big special for the brand next week. It turns out that the brand is also calling that episode by a special name.

Ringside News had comprehensive coverage of this week’s NXT episode. There was a lot of ground to cover, and that included booking a lot of matches for Halloween Havoc Night 1 on October 24th.

This week’s NXT episode had an internal name related to Trick Williams, who played a significant role in the show. During Tuesday’s broadcast, Trick Williams was revealed as a participant in the Number 1 Contenders match for the NXT Championship. This decision was attributed to Cody Rhodes, who made his final choice as the NXT GM the previous week. Unfortunately, Williams encountered an altercation backstage and was unable to compete in the main event. Carmelo Hayes arrived too late to assist his friend.

In the preceding week, Bodyslam.net reported that the episode was internally titled “NXTMania.” Booker T went on to use that exact wording on this week’s show.

Carmelo Hayes emerged victorious in the Number 1 Contenders match, earning the opportunity to challenge Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc. Bodyslam.net went on to report that this week’s NXT episode is being referred to as “TRICK or Treat.”

“Now, multiple NXT sources have confirmed that this week’s show, which was centered around Williams, was simply named internally: “TRICK or Treat.”

WWE NXT has a lot of plans, and Trick Williams is obviously being positioned in a way that he is just ready to break out. Only time will tell how this story turns out, but he was certainly taken out of action this week on NXT.

We will keep a very close eye on this story, and everything else going on in the pro wrestling world, right here at Ringside News. If anything, Trick Williams is getting a lot of attention, and that’s never a bad thing.
