AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ran shows at the same time last week as this was the first time they went head-to-head in over a year. NXT brought the big guns to defeat Dynamite. NXT accomplished its goal and now both NXT and AEW Dynamite did a clean sweep on cable television last week.

Last week’s episode of NXT defeated AEW Dynamite in terms of ratings by a very large margin, something that many fans didn’t find surprising at all.

Dave Meltzer took to Twitter and talked about the entertainment category for cable television last week. Meltzer revealed that NXT and AEW Dynamite did a clean sweep last week, which is an impressive feat.

“In the entertainment category for last week on cable, Raw was first, NXT was second, AEW Dynamite was third. First clean sweep of top three in a long time.”
