Tegan Nox is still fighting for her spot in WWE, and she’s already gone through enough adversity as multiple Superstars endure, with her injuries and other setbacks like getting released by the company. She made a return to NXT this week for their October 17th episode, but that didn’t turn out the way she would have wanted it to, either.

Ringside News had comprehensive play-by-play coverage of WWE NXT on October 17th. It was quite an episode as they built toward October 24th’s NXT Halloween Havoc Night 1 special.

Lyra Valkyria secured a victory over Tegan Nox during the most recent episode of NXT. It turns out that loss marked a very interesting statistic for Tegan Nox.

In preparation for her upcoming championship match at Halloween Havoc Night 1, Lyra Valkyria was slated to engage in a singles match against Tegan Nox. Natalya was in attendance to offer her support to Nox, following Nox’s earlier assistance to Natalya.

The contest between Tegan Nox and Lyra Valkyria was a competitive, back-and-forth, match as they vied to outdo each other. In the closing moments of the match, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven emerged to confront Nox and Natalya. This diversion allowed Valkyria to deliver a reverse roundhouse kick to Nox, and pick up the win. Lyra will face Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s Title at Halloween Havoc Night 1 on October 24th, so she needed the win.

That defeat marked Tegan Nox’s first loss on NXT television in 1,176 days. Her previous defeat dated back to June 2020, when she teamed up with Shotzi to take on Bayley and Sasha Banks in a match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Of course, her career has seen a lot of changes since then, as she was called up to the main roster, and then released. Triple H later brought her back to the main roster, but this was her first loss in NXT in that much time.

Tegan Nox is now on the WWE main roster, and she’s getting more time on television at this point. Triple H has always liked Tegan, even dating back to her tragic injuries while she was in NXT, and now he has a chance to book her. That won’t come without a few losses along the way, but she is gaining momentum and favor with the fans.
