CM Punk is considered one of the most problematic and toxic individuals in the pro wrestling world right now, as his stock only dropped in the past year. He was fired by AEW and now a former AEW star has come forward in support of Punk while many still dislike him.

CM Punk and Jack Perry had been suspended following their backstage confrontation at AEW All In, which eventually led to Tony Khan firing CM Punk. Khan would then provide the reason behind Punk’s firing, where Khan stated that he feared for his life because of CM Punk.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, former AEW star Fuego Del Sol talked about working with his former colleagues, including CM Punk. Del Sol had nothing but good things to say about The Second City Saint.

He always made time for me, he was always kind to me. I don’t know how everybody else feels about Punk. I try to never let someone else’s opinion of someone distract how they treated me. I try to figure out how they treated me, did they treat me well?

When I got hurt and had a foot injury, he had a similar foot injury the year before. He reached out to me when he didn’t have to, he gave me advice, he let me vent when I was in a dark place during my injury. I will forever be grateful and thankful to him for that.

He did not have to reach out to me and talk ot me as much as he did, so he will always be a friend in my book. I like CM Punk and hope the best for him for whatever he decides to do next. The fact that he treated me so well means al ot to me.

He was good to me, if you’re good to me, I’ll forever be great to you – big thanks to CM Punk.”

Ringside News exclusively reported that CM Punk is trying to float the narrative that there are serious talks about his return to WWE. It is also unlikely he will return to AEW anytime soon and fans have accepted that fact as well.
