CM Punk was fired from AEW, and that caused a huge shift in the pro wrestling landscape. A huge free agent was suddenly on the market, and Impact Wrestling was immediately interested.

Impact Wrestling’s Bound for Glory event is set to take place on October 21st, 2023, at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois. Of course, any show in Illinois could have CM Punk buzz around it, especially a pay-per-view event.

Sean Sapp was asked on X whether CM Punk may show up to Bound For Glory. It was noted that while some may scoff at the idea, Punk arriving in Impact Wrestling isn’t as far-fetched as some may think.

“I know a lot of people scoff at it, but yeah IMPACT would welcome CM Punk. Beyond obvious reasons, people said he was really great backstage when he visited.”

WrestlePurists podcaster Ibou has revealed that IMPACT Wrestling “reached out” to CM Punk and “threw the offer out there.” We will have to see if CM Punk agrees to do business with them.

CM Punk seemed to have a good time backstage in Impact Wrestling when the company taped in Chicago. He showed up, and they didn’t kick him out, unlike his treatment in WWE. Punk was able to hang out for a while, and he even played a game of cards backstage with some of the talent.

We will have to see if Impact Wrestling is able to secure CM Punk to a deal. At this point, he may not have many other options regarding what he can do next in his career if he wants to keep wrestling.
