AEW is always looking to ensure that each and every episode of Dynamite is worthwhile, one way or the other. Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite looks to be no different as Tony Khan is determined to load up the show. Now he has announced yet another match for tonight’s episode.
Hikaru Shida got her shot at the AEW Women’s Championship during last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite as she squared off against Saraya for the title. In the end, the Japanese star defeated Saraya to regain her title. Naturally, fans wondered who she would defend her title against first.
AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter and officially announced that Hikaru Shida will take on Emi Sakura in a World Title Eliminator Match on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Should Sakura get a win, she will be next in line to challenge for Shida’s title.

The 3-Time World Champion Shida will fight her mentor “The Queen” Emi Sakura in a World Title Eliminator Match when Dynamite returns to WEDNESDAY on TBS, TONIGHT
AEW was defeated in the head-to-head battle with WWE NXT last week and the company is determined to recover from the loss. It remains to be seen how the episode will turn out tonight.
