Pro wrestling fans already have a lot of programming options. Now, the NWA has gotten into the mix as they have apparently inked a big television deal.

The National Wrestling Alliance has reportedly secured an agreement with The CW. According to Haus Of Wrestling, the NWA has finalized two TV deals with The CW, with an official announcement expected in the near future.

“Haus of Wrestling has learned that the “top 20 network” Corgan refers to is The CW. Some logistics are being worked out, but an official announcement should be coming “relatively soon.” The two TV deals that Corgan mentioned are for two different NWA products that will air on The CW: NWA Powerrr and a reality TV show about the day-to-day, behind-the-scenes business of the NWA.”

On the October 12th episode of Busted Open Radio, Corgan mentioned that NWA had sealed two agreements with a “top 20” network, offering two distinct wrestling-related products.

The outlet’s report indicates that NWA Powerrr, currently airing every Tuesday on YouTube, will be one of the shows. The other program will delve into the day-to-day operations behind the scenes of NWA as a reality show.

Bill Corgan also added that, despite the new network deals, NWA will continue to have a presence on YouTube in some capacity. We will have to see how this situation pans out, but NWA fans may be very happy to hear this development.

AEW is already on television for five hours of weekly programming. WWE has six hours of programming as well. If you add in Impact Wrestling and ROH, NWA has quite a bit of competition, but it’s really never a bad thing to have more pro wrestling on television.

The National Wrestling Alliance has a rich history, and it appears that they will have an opportunity to tell many more stories with this new television deal. For more updates on what’s next, please stay tuned with us here at Ringside News.
