Mercedes Mone worked hard to establish herself as one of the most recognizable female pro wrestlers in the world right now. That said, she doesn’t necessarily have the best reputation with fans, especially during meets in real life. She recently had a heated encounter with a fan and now Mone has been called out for her rude behavior towards that fan.
During a recent signing at New York Comic Con, one fan asked Mercedes Mone about her WWE exit. The fan claimed Mone left WWE due to creative issues. Mone was abrasive in response to the fan and snapped back at him at every turn.
While speaking on the Eyes Up Here podcast, former WWE and ECW star Francine stated that Mercedes Mone got a “little snippy” during the interaction with the fan. She then called out Mone for her rude behavior.
“If you’ve been doing it for a long time, and she has, she should know better because these people are spending their hard-earned money. If I was that fan, I would never buy something from her again. I wouldn’t just for the simple fact that she was rude. And you know whether you want to be there or not, you’re lucky that you can sit there and sign autographs for a living.”
Mercedes Mone underwent surgery for the injury and has since been recuperating, but she may end up in AEW eventually. Regardless, we do hope Mone doesn’t have a similar fan encounter such as this one ever again.
