Tony Khan has captured a lot of attention in recent memory with his social media meltdowns. He said a lot in the process, and some people in AEW would like it if he put his X account down for a while, but that’s not happening. Someone like Chris Jericho certainly understands that.

Tony Khan’s recent social media activity has seen him call WWE higher-ups “bald assholes.” TK took a shot at Shawn Michaels’ booking for NXT. He also had lot to say about Vince McMahon’s controversies. He followed that up by shading The Undertaker and John Cena for not pulling 1 million viewers for the October 10th episode of NXT.

Tony Khan went off on X, and he directed his venom at WWE. After accusing WWE of contract tampering, he also went on to say that “WWE avatar accounts” turned their wrath on his mother while she was recovering from a near-death experience.

The Messenger recently spoke to Chris Jericho, when he opened up a bit about Tony Khan’s recent activity on social media. After all, he’s a billionaire, and he plays by different rules. In the end, nobody can tell someone like Tony Khan what to do.

“I learned years ago that bosses are going to be bosses, and billionaires are going to be billionaires. I’ve been working for billionaires for 25 years. At this point, you can’t control Tony Khan. He’s going to do what he wants to do and God bless him. He created this company. He runs this company. He also grew up in the social media era.”

“I’m not going to tell him, ‘Take your phone away,’ because he’s my boss. Say what you want. Whatever. I think it’d be worse if I said that stuff because I’m not the boss, you know? Tony Khan owns AEW. He can do what he wants. I’m not going to tell him no.”

Social media tirades aside, there is also the idea out there that some AEW talent have taken advantage of Tony Khan. Only time will tell how much goes down in the future, but there will probably be a lot more to unpack in this story by the time everything is said and done.

Tony Khan has a microscope on him. Even the Jacksonville Jaguars’ internal mess-ups reflect on how he runs everything in AEW. Obviously, this is a tough place for him to be in, but perhaps he may need to relax on social media for a bit.
