AEW has a couple of top stars who are out of action due to concussions. Sammy Guevara and Jon Moxley are both on the shelf due to concussions, and they are both awaiting to pass protocol before they can come back to the ring. Sadly, it appears that fans in Texas won’t get to see Guevara wrestle this time around.
We previously reported that Sammy Guevara was working hard to get medical clearance. AEW Dynamite is in Texas this week, and he really wanted to perform in front of his home state fans. Sadly, that won’t happen.
Sammy Guevara posted an update on X, and he provided a photo of himself getting his head checked out. This also included a message for fans in Texas, because he is very sorry about the fact he will not be cleared to compete this week.
Good news, bad news. Bad news I’m not cleared yet. Good news everyday I’m feeling better. Sorry Houston I really wanted to put on a show for y’all. Hopefully next time.
Also F*ck Chris Jericho.
We will have to see when Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara meet again. Obviously, there is unfinished business there. Right now, the Spanish God needs to focus on getting medical clearance after a concussion.
AEW has a few injuries on their roster, and some of them are keeping stars off television, where they have business to take care of. Sammy Guevara will likely be back in AEW soon enough, but they are not going to rush his return from concussion.
