Rhea Ripley is undeniably one of the top female WWE wrestlers right now. She has earned a huge fan following because of her tremendous dedication to her profession. Mami is known by many names and now she has revealed the origin of her WWE name.

The WWE Women’s Champion has been on a tear in the women’s division over the past year, as she has decimated all of her opponents without much issue. After all, there are very few who can truly test The Eradicator.

While speaking with Allan & Carly, Rhea Ripley was asked about the origin of her name in WWE. The WWE Women’s Champion revealed that her last name is based on the legendary horror movie character of Ellen Ripley from ‘Alien.’ She added that her first name was from a goddess.

“It actually doesn’t have anything to do with that. But it’s funny because every time I post a photo that’s what people write, like, ‘Rhea Ripped-Ly’. But I actually got it from the chick from Aliens. I looked up badass female names and Rhea was the name of a goddess and Ripley was the chick from Aliens. I was like, ‘They sound great together.'”
