Logan Paul Calling Out Rey Mysterio Was Planned In Advance Before Dillon Danis Fight

Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio will presumably throw down, and it appears that the two will have a face-to-face this Friday for SmackDown. That being said, this was in the plan well before Paul fought Dillon Danis on October 14th.

Rey Mysterio saw Logan Paul’s challenge, and he didn’t waste any time in throwing out reply. He is ready for The Maverick, and he doesn’t seem discouraged in the slightest about taking him on after that Dillon Danis fight.

It was later confirmed on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour that Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul will meet on SmackDown this Friday. That will play off Paul’s big win in Manchester.

Sean Sapp put up a note behind Fightful’s paywall about Logan Paul calling out Rey Mysterio in Manchester. It was noted that they had a pre-planned call-out in the pipeline, because Logan Paul’s appearance on SmackDown was already going to happen.

“It goes without saying at this point, but it was confirmed to us that Logan Paul went into the fight with Dillon Danis planning to use his post-fight platform to use a pre-planned call out of Rey Mysterio. Paul was already scheduled for this week’s Smackdown internally.”

Logan Paul told Rey Mysterio that he would see him very soon. He will live up to that promise, and SmackDown should be quite a show this week. It’s anyone’s guess how this may have played off if Logan Paul lost to Dillon Danis, but that’s not how things played out.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Logan Paul will not be back in WWE by their November 4th Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia. That being said, you never know what they will book for Survivor Series later on that same month, because The Maverick may have enough time to rest up before then.
